Classwork: Read module 52, and use Erikson's Stages of Identity Development to analyze The Giving Tree and complete the activity.
Homework: Finish reading module 52 and answer multiple choice questions 1-7.
For homework this weekend, finish the Physical Stages of Development worksheet. *Note: Don't forget about the sketch for each section. Relevant textbook pages are below.
Use the Module 35 Note Taking Guide as you read the chapter.
Read the textbook section on dreams and answer FRQ #2.
Read "Thinking Critically About ESP" and answer "Test Yourself" at the end of the reading.
Read Module 12 and answer Multiple Choice #1-6.
Practice Free Response Question (use last night's reading if you need to!)
Scenario: While walking barefoot, you step on a piece of glass. Before you have a chance to consciously process what has happened, you draw your foot away from the glass. Identify and explain the 3 types of neurons that deal with information regarding this painful stimulus. Read Module 10. Take notes and copy vocabulary.
Copy chart of Neurotransmitters on p. 82 (previous post) into your notes. We did the first 2 columns in class.
Classwork: Read Module 7, Answer Multiple Choice #1-5 and FRQ #2 (handed in).
For those who have not finished looking up their news story, please finish for Thursday. Be sure to include the title of your article with your answers. (prompt below) Your homework for Thursday is to read pp. 50-53 in the textbook and copy vocabulary. Make sure you are reading the chapters as well, and NOT just copying the vocab from the margins!

Also, if you did not submit your binder for its first check today, I will collect them before the quiz tomorrow. Use the textbook to complete the first 2 columns with the subfield and description. Then, select 5 subfields that interest you, and research a psychologist working in that field. In column 3, include the psychologist's name and a bit about the work they do.
Due Wednesday, 9/5: Choose a behavior or mental process and find the biological, psychological, and social-cultural factors for that behavior.
Weekend Homework: Compile a list of Module 1 Vocabulary. It can be done on flashcards, quizlet, or in a separate section in your binder. As long as there is a special place for it. Vocab words are in the margins of the textbook (scanned pages below) Classwork/Homework due Thursday, Aug. 30th Compare the early thinkers and choose the one you think had a greater impact on the study and development of psychology.
Today in class you began working on your Early Thinkers in Psychology Chart. Please make sure it is completed by tomorrow (August 29th) so that we can use it for our next activity. Attached is the chart and a scan of the textbook pages.
