Wednesday, October 24: Binder Checks (binders must be left on their shelf) Monday, October 29: Quiz on presentation topics Tuesday, October 30: October Participation grades entered Wednesday, October 31: Grades close Links to the Google Calendar have been emailed to your school district email. Please check! Also, see the calendar tab. Read "Thinking Critically About ESP" and answer "Test Yourself" at the end of the reading.
The quiz:This is how the quiz portion of your project will work. At the end of all the presentations you will have a quiz. I have a quiz for these topics already made, but if your quiz question are good, they can replace my quiz questions! Please be thorough! You should have at least 10 questions made about your topic. Suggested Project Timeline:After grading your tests, I am concerned about whether it is the level of difficulty or your level of preparedness that is giving us these results. Please complete the survey for your class.
This survey is anonymous and can only be submitted once. If everyone in your class submits it on time, you will each be awarded extra credit on this last test grade. Additionally, anyone who would like to do test corrections may schedule a time to do so. See me on Monday to pick a time to come in. Corrections can be done Mon-Thurs during advisory. Read the textbook section on Thresholds and complete the Pattern Recognition activity.
Read "The Upside of Distraction" by Benedict Carey and answer the following questions:
Enjoy yourselves! But also, make sure that you see me to schedule a time to make up the test. You should be taking it Tuesday during advisory, (if you have lunch 4th or 8th you can take it then too, but you must tell me in the morning) unless otherwise discussed with me.
Please see me before school tomorrow if you need a note to be excused from advisory. See attachements for:
