What you are about to watch for homework and discuss next class will confront the atrocities committed by Japanese troops in the city of Nanjing. While you will engage with the subject matter intellectually, studying some of its historical, social, and political causes, it is also important to acknowledge emotional responses to this history. Some of this is hard to watch and hear. If you have any concerns, please let me know. If you were not in class, please take notes on Political Ideologies (guided notes attached). Homework: Read and answer questions on The Beginning of the Nazi Party and The First Nazi Uprising.

Be sure to read and take notes on Chapter 33: The Great War. If you would also like to see the prezi from class, please see me.
