After completing the SPICE notes on your society, create a new presentation in Google Slides.
Your presentation should be about 5 slides, not too wordy, and should include images, video, or any additional aids to help your peers learn about your society. Expect your presentation to be about 10 minutes with note taking. I suggest to start by watching the Crash Course video, because we know how excited John Green was to talk about them. Watch it here. Then, read and take notes on the Mongol Empires - Chapter 17, pp. 368-378. Stop at "After the Mongols" and do not read "Reverberations." ![]()

Wednesday/Thursday in class we'll be starting a series called Empire of Faith, on the origins of Islam and the expansion of the Islamic Empire. The note sheet has topics numbered, and the numbers appear on the top right corner of the screen just before the information is covered. Whatever we don't finish in class will be homework due Tuesday (A) /Wednesday (B) next week.
